No Sew Project – Trays
With Mother’s Day coming up we thought it would be nice to do a project that both gift-maker and gift-giver would enjoy equally and so we decided to make some fabric lined trays. It only takes a few supplies and you probably have these items hanging around the house.
Supplies:
- Wooden tray(s) (we got ours on Amazon for a steal)
- Spray Paint
- Mod Podge
- Fabric
- Scissors
- Ribbon, if you’d like to trim out your project
The first step is to paint the trays. Let them dry completely before moving to the next step.
Next measure the inside of the tray and cut your fabric accordingly.
Apply Mod Podge to the bottom of the tray. Insert fabric cut out and smooth with hands or a small ruler to remove any air bubbles.
Since I’m not very good at cutting straight I used an exacto to clean up my edges and some pretty ribbon to hide my not so perfect edges.
Easy peasy – beautiful fabric lined trays worthy of a Mother’s Day gift!
