This months Fat Quarter Tuesday project is sew simple and makes great little gifts for the little ones in your life! Follow along below to learn how to make your own teething ring.
- 1 Fat Quarter Printed Fabric
- 1 Fat Quarter Mink or Other Soft Fabric
- Sewing Machine
- Wooden Teething Ring Pattern
- 2” Wood Ring
For this creation, we design a free PDF pattern that you can print out! You will need to cut one on fold of each of your fabrics.
Then you will take each pattern piece and pin them together with right sides facing one another.
Next, you will sew all the way around at ¼” seam allowance leaving about a 1-inch opening.
Then you will clip your corners and turn the pattern right side out.
Next, you will press the pattern and opening inward, and pin shut. Then you will top stitch around the entire pattern at 1/8” seam allowance.
Now to connect your pattern to the wooden ring you will fold it in half and feed it through the ring.
Then you will take the 2 ends and feed them through the pattern piece in the folded edge and pull tight!
Voila, all done! Sew simple and oh sew cute!
