DIY Hair Bow!
For this week’s fat quarter Tuesday project, we decided to make a cute little hair bow! These are so easy to make and are perfect for gifts. Follow along with our tutorial below to see how to make your own!
Supplies:
- Fabric
- Scissors
- Fusible Bonding Web
- Hair Clip
- Pins
- Ruler
- Thread
- Sewing Needle
- Hot Glue Gun
Step 1: Cutting Fabric
First you will need to cut your chosen fabric. You will cut 3 rectangles, one 9”x4.5”, one 6”x4.5” and one 3”x1”.
Step 2: Prepping Fabric
Now you will turn over long edges of each pattern piece ¼” and press. Next you will press using your fusible bonding web to secure into place.
Step 3: Basting Center
Then you will fold in the raw ends of the 2 larger pattern pieces and connect in the center. Pin in place and place the shorter piece on top of the larger bow piece. Now taking your needle and thread, baste the center of both bows to one another and gather tight.
Step 4: Finishing Touches
Next you will take the smallest pattern piece and wrap around center of bow and hot glue into place. Then you will glue the hair clip to the back of your bow! You are all done and have an easy quick bow to wear yourself of give as gifts!
