Here is an easy no-sew project you can do for a fun vintage look using wooden embroidery hoops.
- Embroidery hoops
- Fabric cut about 2in larger than your hoop
For this project you can use fabric scraps, a sampling from a favorite collection, or a custom fabric design of your own. We choose some modern designs from artist StudioFibonacci at MyFabricDesigns.com
First you place your fabric into the embroidery hoop. Make sure to straighten your design and secure the fabric tightly into the hoop.
In the next steps we’ll be gluing the fabric to the embroidery hoop. Turn the hoop upside down and trim any excess fabric away so that when folded over the edge of the hoop the fabric remains on the hoop itself and does not fall into the inside circle.
Working in sections, apply glue to the inside of the hoop and fold the fabric over to secure to the hoop. Continue this process around the entire hoop.
When completed the back of your embroidery hoops should look something like this.
That’s all there is to it! Now all you have to do is hang them up and enjoy your new fabric wall art – all without any sewing.
